Many students of English from many different countries ask me to help them prepare for their upcoming IELTS test.
Some of my students have already taken the IELTS test before. And some have taken the test more than once.
But for many students, it is their first time and they are usually feeling nervous about taking the test. Often there is a lot at stake. The test results will strongly influence the future course of their lives...and the lives of their families, too.
Getting a high enough score will determine whether the person will immigrate to another country, attend a university, or get a specific job...or any job, at all.
With this kind of pressure at work on students, my job is to help them improve their English skills enough to get the test score they need.
To do this, I use many online tools and resources that are free. I regularly do online searches for ideas and methods that will help English students get the score they need.

By the way, one of the best methods is to simulate the IELTS test the student will take.
What this means is that I play the role of the examiner and put the student through the IELTS test. This way, I can assess the student's skill levels.
By doing this, I can create a study program for the student. We can find the strong points of the student's English skills, and also discover the areas that need more work.
Then we can begin to systematically improve the student's English skills related to the IELTS test.
What we do is to train for the test by taking the test before the student takes the actual real IELTS test. Do you understand what I mean?
